THE RED SHRINE

As the very first player character and later one of the most legendary trainers in the Pokemon world, Red is both adorable as he is terrifyingly strong. He enjoys plenty of attention in the fandom for his badassness, this being understandably annoying to some people. But let me tell you that there is more of a quirky side to him than just being the average badass character that a lot of people don't pay attention to.

TO DO: Add more pictures. Continue writing.

GENERATION 1

At the beginning, Red doesn't really have an established personality and most media goes with average shonen protagonist traits for him. In 4Koma strips, he's a rascal who rarely has brain cells to make things more comical. In Zensho, he's a very polite boy with a lot of love and enthusiasm for every Pokemon he encounters. He can be your angel or your devil. In the games however, it's already said Red is quite silent. But it is interesting to see that Red now seems to be a compilation of all these traits to some degree, despite barely ever talking.

GENERATION 2

Here comes our lovable champion Red! The cameras are following him everywhere and him answering to questions from interviewers with just a "..." is always so thrilling! But being a child celebrity sucks. Red's smile in cameras is forced. You simply happen to be extremely gifted in battling and your exceptional way of caring for Pokemon gets you all the way to the Champion's throne. But no longer are you allowed to just be a kid, as the entire planet's eyes turn to you and how inspirational you are.

Red being socially anxious and this ultimately getting to him is speculation, but very much possible. Whatever drove Red to leave it all behind must not have been very fun to deal with. Trainers around just keep saying "Oh, Red went to that mountain just because he wants to get stronger!" but is that really all? He doesn't even call his mother and that instantly suggests something's not right with him. Green has full-blown depression. Again, ask TPC what they meant by all this, if they even care to explain. And keep on writing those sad fanfics.

Ethan, Kris or Lyra decides to make a full journey to the top of Mt. Silver, finally encountering Red as the final boss and proving themselves to be stronger as a true ending to G2. Maybe they could've asked Red how he's doing, but he simply fades away again.

POKEMAS

Teenage Red has left the mountain and arrived to Pasio. Masters Red could be described as equally both rugged and graceful. This Red is very polite and often very cheerful too contrary to popular depictions of him as angsty. But seems he's still not a big fan of getting a lot of attention, as Green says he's very difficult to find even on Pasio. Though folks who battle well do manage to lure him out. Red's rugged side is his righteous fury and having absolutely no mercy for Team Rocket. When in doubt, Gigantamax your Snorlax inside a building and put an end to evil quickly and easily. What makes Red funny is him nonchalantly smiling about it afterwards.

GENERATION 7

Red has returned, now as a grown man with a new job running the Battle Tree. And he in his most charming form yet and I mean this fully genuinely: an awkward quiet tourist with a humble, fairly unremarkable sense of fashion who Green says is very easily fooled. He also would much rather camp outside and hunt for Bewears for food even if a fancy hotel is right nearby, if the artist bkub is to be believed. Nevertheless, Red remains an undefeatable beast in battles and with Green by his side, his willingness to explore the world has reawakened.
